Campus Advisory Council (CAC)
CAC stands for Campus Advisory
Council whose purpose is to assist and advise our principal in bringing
about cooperation and coordination of our resources to maximize
educational opportunities for all Oak Springs’ students.
The CAC is made up of parents,
professional staff (i.e. teachers, vice-principal) , a representative from
the classified staff (i.e. clerks, teacher assistants, etc.), community
and business reps and the principal. The main objectives of the CAC are
to:
- Assess school programs and
services
- Establish goals to improve these
programs and services
- Evaluate student progress
- Review and help develop the school
budget
- Integrate all of the above to
develop the yearly Campus Improvement Plan (CIP)
- Act as a liaison between our
school and community
Agendas, members, dates of meeting
and minutes of CAC are posted on a bulletin board just outside the office.
